9th Convocation 2022

Daffodil International University holds an admission test for the Spring 2022 semester on 31st December 2021 at Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka. Admission seekers from all over Bangladesh sit for the admission test under five faculties of the university.

Human Rights Day

Daffodil International University and the United Nations in Bangladesh jointly observed The Human Rights Day on December 11, 2021, through an elaborate program titled EQUALITY- Reducing Inequalities, Advancing Human Rights.

30th Academic Council Meeting

The 30th Academic Council Meeting of Daffodil International University was held on 28th December 2021. Professor Dr. S. M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Acting Vice-Chancellor, DIU presided over the meeting and upheld the overall activities of the university. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, and Mr. Mominul Haque Majumder, Treasurer joined the meeting on the special invitation of the Vice-Chancellor. 

4th Industrial Revolution and Beyond (4IR)

On the occasion of the birth centenary of the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence, Bangladesh, an international conference on 4th Industrial Revolution and Beyond (4IR) 2021 was organized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh at Bangabandhu International Centre, Dhaka from 10th December to 11th December 2021.

MoU Signing Ceremony

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Daffodil International University and Nagad was signed. Mr. Mominul Haque Majumder, Treasurer, Daffodil International University, and Rahel Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer, Nagad Ltd. signed MoU on behalf of their respective organization.

To create and share more opportunities for Bangladeshi students especially for DIU, Mr. Abubokor Hanip, Honorable Chancellor of iGLOBAL University, USA visited Daffodil International University in Daffodil Smart City and joined in a collaborative discussion meeting with DIU Management and International Affairs Officials.

2nd rendition of the Teaching Apprentice Fellowship 2022

Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI) launched the 2nd rendition of the Teaching Apprentice Fellowship 2022 with a 4 day-long boot camp. During this time, our champions received the training and knowledge they need to become the leading educators of tomorrow.

Daffodil International University organized a seminar on Open-Air Mock Interview for the Employability 360-degree course enrolled students of Fall-2021 Semester.

UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2021

Daffodil International University has been recognized as the most environmentally friendly university in Bangladesh according to the recently declared ‘UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2021, released on 14 December 2021. Daffodil International University topped the list for the 5th time in a row.

Dr. Imran Mahmud, Head, Department of Information Technology & Management, Daffodil International University (DIU) appointed as an ”Adjunct Professor” at Graduate School of Business(GSB), Universiti Sains Malaysia!

Md. Abdul Kader, Proud Pharmacy Alumnus, DIU deputed as Captain at Kuwait Army under the supervision of Bangladesh Army. He will be serving as the hospital pharmacist over there for the next four years.

Dr. Mohammad Aman Ullah (Proud CSE Alumnus, DIU) completed his Ph.D. from USIM, Malaysia, and was promoted as Associate Professor in Computer Science at International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC).

Mainul Hasan developed 'D Smart Uniform Solution' with the idea of ​​solving class division issues and has become an entrepreneur, instead of chasing jobs.

Konok Karmakar studies at Daffodil International University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. At just twenty years old, he wrote his name in the Guinness Book of World Records. Not once or twice, in just one year, this young man of red-green Bangladesh has set a world record of ten to ten world records.

Daffodil International University Won by 62 Runs against Jhenaidah Ex Cadets Association at Life Springs Dominators Cup 2021.

International Human Rights Day

The Department of Law, Daffodil International University organized a day-long program for observing the "International Human Rights Day '' at Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka.

Robot Design

The prizegiving ceremony of the workshop on "Robot Design" was organized by Daffodil Robotics Lab and supported by the Department of Software Engineering, Daffodil International University.

Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship (FBE) & Business Alumni Association (DIUBAA) of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized the 4th Business Alumni Reunion-2021 on December 10, 2021, at the Daffodil Smart City Campus.

Software Traceability

Under the ‘Virtual Faculty Exchange Program’ Between Daffodil International University (DIU), Bangladesh and MSU - Management & Science University, Malaysia, Dr. Muhammad Irsyad Abdullah, Associate Professor & Dean, Faculty Information and Science Engineering, MSU conducted a Virtual Lecture Session on “Software Traceability” for the students of Dept. of Software Engineering, DIU on 15 December 2021.

Department of Civil Engineering of Daffodil International University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Water Modeling (IWM) on 26th December 2021 at the International Conference Hall of Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka.

CB Public Parliamentary Debate

DIU Debating Club celebrated its success through a program at Daffodil Smart City on 9th December 2021. DIUDC became champion in the UCB Public Parliamentary Debate, organized by Debate for Democracy at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation.
